పోలవరం ప్రాజెక్టు, ఇతర ప్రాధాన్య ప్రాజెక్టులపై కలెక్టర్లు, అధికారులతో సమీక్షా సమావేశం చంద్రబాబు నాయుడు గారు నిర్వహించారు. పూణెలో ‘సెంట్రల్ వాటర్, పవర్ రీసెర్చ్ స్టేషన్’ (CWPRS) ఏర్పాటు చేసిన పోలవరం ప్రాజెక్టు నమూనాను అయన పరిశీలించారు. పోలవరం ప్రాజెక్టు అథారిటీ సహకారం అందించగా ఎకరం విస్తీర్ణంలో సుమారు రూ. 40 లక్షల వ్యయంతో రూపకల్పన చేశారు. పోలవరం ప్రాజెక్టును సకాలంలో పూర్తి చేయడానికి ఎటువంటి సవాళ్లనయినా ఎదుర్కొంటామని అన్నారు. పోలవరం కాంక్రీట్ పనులను శరవేగంగా పూర్తిచేసేందుకు చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలి అన్నారు. ప్రాజెక్టు నిర్మాణం పనుల్లో కొంతమేర కొత్త నిర్మాణ సంస్థలకు అప్పగించాలని నిర్ణయం. స్పిల్వే, స్పిల్ చానల్కు సంబంధించి పనుల్లో కొంత భాగానికి ఈవారంలో టెండర్లు. ప్రాధాన్య ప్రాజెక్టులలో పదింటిని ఈనెలలో ప్రారంభిస్తున్నామని చెప్పారు. ఇప్పటికే మూడు ప్రాజెక్టులు ప్రారంభమయ్యాయి. మిగిలిన 15 ప్రాజెక్టులు డిసెంబర్ కల్లా పూర్తిచేయాలని ఆదేశించారు. ఉత్తమ నీటి నిర్వహణే లక్ష్యంగా వచ్చే నెలలో ప్రతి గ్రామంలోనూ ‘నీటి ఆడిటింగ్’ నిర్వహించాలని అధికారులకు సూచించారు. రెండోపంటకు నోచుకోని భూములకు సాగునీరు అందించేలా ప్రణాళికలు సిద్ధం చేసి అమలుకు కృషి చేయాలి అన్నారు. ఇస్రో అధికారులు రియల్ టైమ్ గవర్నెన్స్ కోసం సమన్వయంతో పని చేయడం అభినందించారు.
Andhra Pradesh is to serve as role model for the National Water Mission in other states for which we ensure a timely update on the progress of Polavaram & other irrigation projects. The target of diaphragm wall has been met and authorities have been instructed to conduct an exercise to analyse and understand the requirements of the state in terms of climate, resources & technology.
During the meeting, officials presented a video of the Polavaram Dam's miniature, set up in Central Water and Power Research Station (CWPRS), Pune. The video was helpful in gaining an idea about the mechanics and practical implications of the Polavaram Dam. In a video conference, 28 irrigation projects were reviewed, 10 projects are going to be inaugurated this month.
